Students have been rehearsing for weeks. Ever since auditions during the first week of classes, there have been daily rehearsals after school. “It’s a lot of work, but it’s worth it,” said Sydney Grayson ‘20. The actors have memorized their lines, learned their cues, and practiced their dances. Their work is amazing, so don’t miss out on watching it.
In addition to the work that the actors have done, the stage managers have attended every rehearsal, and have created hundreds of cues for the lights, sounds, projections, etc. Additionally, students in the tech theater class have spent class time creating the set for the musical. Some, including Hannah Clack ‘19, will even be assisting with lighting and sound effects during the production. “It’s a really cool experience,” said Hannah when asked about what she thinks of helping. While running crew may not be the most glamorous job, it is necessary for any production, so thank you to all of you who will be helping behind the scenes.
The musical itself is astounding. The dances are well choreographed, the songs are beautiful, and the scenes run smoothly. Don’t miss your opportunity to watch it!
The Wedding Singer will be performed every evening at 7 p.m. from Wednesday to Saturday. Buy your ticket soon before every spot is taken, and enjoy the performance.
