As our last Almond Joy slowly begins to mold and our teeth still bear a blue stain from eating one too many skittles, Seattle Academy students come down off their Halloween sugar high and get back to work. However, let us not forget the fabulous Halloween spirit that filled every inch of our halls last Friday. Students and teachers alike took the opportunity to show off their spooky school spirit with some of the most creative costumes we have ever seen. Take a look at what we saw, from a life size cookie to 80’s disco dancers!
Majestic Max Shoenfeld dressed as Richie Tenebaum from the classic movie The Royal Tenebaum.
Senior Sara Truscott exceeds her daily sodium intake by dressing as the adorable Morton Salt Girl.
Megan McCall took an original spin and dressed as Pete Carroll. Her outfit was complete with a Seahawks sweatshirt and headpiece.
Brother and sister Evie ‘15 and John Bellew ‘18 really did it up for Halloween this year. Evie dressed as life size chocolate chip cookie and John as a scary realistic zombie. Which is scarier?
Here’s a close up of John’s intricate face paint.
Photography teacher Rebekah Rocha did not dress as your traditional black cat. Rather, Rebekah opted for a furry Viking who befriends baseball player Mike Cimino.
BFF’s Francesca Rosati and Savannah Kinzer dressed as groovy 80’s disco girls. Awesome ladies!
Fred Strong delivered a more musical note and dressed as a conductor.
Senior Sylvie Skene kept her outfit simple yet spirited. Using black face paint, Sylvie drew fun stripes to transform herself into a Zebra!
Taking Napoleon Dynamite to a whole new level, Ellie Moseley, Sara Gustafson, Audrey Kenefick, and Coco McNeil recreated the infamous cast, making everyone around school vote for Pedro!
Mock Trial teacher Bess McKinney, switched it up and dressed as co-teacher Regan Falcon. Two Regans? Can’t say I would object!
Ninth grade coordinators Makenzie Brandon and Jill Beckerman looked fabulous together dressed as a French mime and a raging tiger.
Connor Rice and Addison Oblanas both dressed as our favorite cartoon character Scooby Doo! Their awesome one piece costumes were both comfortable and so cute!
